Star Wars features elements such as knighthood, chivalry, and Jungian archetypes such as “the shadow”. There are also many references to Christianity, such as in the appearance of Darth Maul, whose design draws heavily from traditional depictions of the devil. Anakin was conceived of a virgin birth and is assumed to be the “Chosen One”, a messianic individual.
