Disney Princesses have been around for many years now, dating back to the time of Walt Disney. The first full-length animated movie was Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, which introduced up to the beautiful Snow White. Disney Princesses have come on a long way since that time, and there are new ones popping up on our screens each year. Today we’re going to put your personality to the test to find out which Disney Princess you really are. You might be surprised which one your personality best matches with, and you can take inspiration from them in the future when it comes to navigating challenges in your life.

When looking at the Disney Princesses, you can split them into three generations. The first generation dates back to Snow White in 1937, who was the first princess created by Walt Disney. Following that, we had to wait over a decade to meet the beautiful Cinderella in 1950 and then Sleeping Beauty in 1959. At this time, some of the classic things we know and love about princesses were first established. We learned about Happily Ever After and True Love’s First Kiss at this time, which continue to appear in Disney Princess movies to this day. While we have seen some more independent women appear since this time, we still love the characters that were established from these three princesses in the first generation of Disney Princesses.

Moving into the second generation of Disney princesses, this came about around the start of the 1990s. These characters had more personality, unlike the first generation, who were based more on the story of the film. This included the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Jasmine in the movie Aladdin. We also found that the characters became more diverse with the addition of Pocahontas and Mulan. This period had the first non-Caucasian Disney Princess, which welcomed a whole new audience into the world of the Disney Princesses. You’ll find that young girls felt they were better reflected in the world thanks to this new generation.

The third generation brings us up to the current day, and we have been thrilled by how much more diversity there was during this generation. This was the time in which Bob Iger was CEO of the Disney company, and we were blown away by the changes he made to the company. These princesses are often single and fiercely independent, serving as a reminder to young girls that they don’t need a man to complete them.

During this time, we met Tiana in the Princess and the Frog, Rapunzel in Tangled, and Anna and Elsa in Frozen. These princesses are all incredibly modern, and we were excited when Moana also joined their generation more recently. Young girls have someone to look up to and think about when they are dreaming of their future. These princesses go on adventures around the world and fight for what’s right in the world. They are the ideal role model for any young girl, and it just goes to show that anything is possible in life no matter where you come from.

As well as watching the Disney Princesses in the movies, young girls enjoy television series, books, and toys. You can also dress up as your favorite character, which is an activity that any young girl needs to do at least once in their life. You’ll find that the more young girls grow up, the more they start to pick their favorite character. No doubt this changes a little over time, but you’ll usually come back to one over and over again.

Are you ready to find out which Disney Princess you are most like? There are four potential answers for each question. You’ll find that you just need to go with your gut and select the answer that jumps out to you straight away. Don’t overthink the quiz, or you’ll find you are matched with the wrong princess in the end. After that, make sure you head to Disney+ and watch your favorite princess in her adventures once again. Good luck, and let’s see which Disney Princess you are most like today!
