The gameplay takes place from a third-person view. The character can literally wander anywhere because it’s an open world. In the game, we will be fighting, riding a horse, collecting resources, learning spells, as well as improving equipment and weapons, interacting with NPCs, and gaining EXP to get to the next level. The gameplay focuses on combat and exploration. It contains similar elements to previous FromSoftware games such as the Souls series, Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. What does the plot look like? We are one of the so-called The Tarnished who was exiled after losing the blessings conferred by the Ring of the Elden and the “Erdtree”. It is the tree that is the source of life. We are called to the country because the Elden Ring has been destroyed. It is our job to put all its scattered parts together. We also need to become the lord of The Lands Between, which is the world of the entire game. Only those blessed by Erdtree can live there. At some point, many of them lost this blessing, were cast aside, banished, and called the Tarnished. After the Ring was shattered, the pieces were picked up by 6 demigods. As a result, they were given different powers, their appearance changed, and they were possessed by tremendous power. Hence, the whole area is divided into six sections, and each section is ruled by one of the demigods.

At the beginning of the game, we have ten character classes to choose from. The first is the hero, who is very powerful but not very intelligent. The second choice is the bandit, which has a high arcane level and the rest of its stats are average. He uses a bow and a dagger. You can also choose an astrologer who has high mental abilities. He uses a sword, wand, and spells. The Warrior has a high dexterity index, which allows for the efficient use of two curved swords. If you choose a prisoner character, you can count on a little above average stats but a low faith level. The figure of the confessor is similar, but instead, his faith level is high. If your choice is wretch, expect every stat at level 10. But vagabond has a high index of vigor, prophet – faith, and samurai has endurance and dexterity.

Elden Ring is certainly not a game for everyone, and neither is the souls series. The beginning of the game can be overwhelming, especially if this is your first time playing a game from From Software. What we are supposed to do is not explained, and defeating the enemies at the beginning of the game seems extremely difficult. It is almost impossible to defeat many of them, so you have to just avoid them. You may try coming back to them later on.
