Male hierarchy meaning

Every man has unique values, traits, and behaviors. Nonetheless, there are ways to categorize guys into specific socio-sexual roles. The concept of alpha and sigma males, among others, has gained popularity in the online world. These are mostly stereotypical roles that aren’t always flattering. In addition, there is no solid scientific data to back up the male hierarchy theory. Nevertheless, let us examine the six male personalities.

Male hierarchy test types

The Alpha Male

Alpha Male is the “top dog”. He has access to all desirable things: money, status, power, and mates. Other males look up to the Alpha Male, and women gravitate toward him.

Are you more feminine or masculine?

Alpha Male is a natural leader. He prefers to take control and knows how to inspire others to reach a mutual goal. Everyone gravitates toward the Alpha Male – he’s charismatic and fun to be around.

One of the crucial Alpha Male characteristics is humility and awareness of his flaws. He does not let his accomplishments get to his head. Alpha Male won’t deny his weaknesses, but he also knows how to turn them into strengths in the long run.

The true Alpha isn’t hot-headed. Is your aggression level too high?

The Beta Male

Beta Male is friendly, kind, and eager to please. Sometimes he’s a little too comfortable in his comfort zone and a little too dependent on the approval of others. When it comes to his role in society, Bela Male prefers moderation. He doesn’t like to question the rules.

One of the Beta Male’s key characteristics is his pleasant and light-hearted nature. He feels safe to be around and is respectful and loyal. Some people will take advantage of Beta Male’s kindness and passiveness.

The thing about Beta Male is that he does not strive to be perfect. He’s usually totally content with being on a certain level and doesn’t have the need to climb higher. The Beta Male simply wants to be himself.

Time to reveal the truth: are you an Alpha? Perhaps you’re Beta or Omega?

The Gamma Male

Many people see the amalgamation of all the male hierarchy types in the Gamma Male. He’s adventurous, intelligent, and wants to carve his own path in life. The Gamma Male will always choose to fulfill his desires over pleasing others. He is self-aware and secure in his masculinity.

Gamma Male is eager to get many things done. He wants to taste everything the world has to offer, including gaining new experiences and learning new skills. He’s also eager for affection and respect from other people.

On the negative side, Gamma Males might get clingy in their desire for admiration. They could also be stubborn and stuck in denying their faults. Unlike the Alpha Male, the Gamma Male sometimes suffers from insecurities and fears of taking risks.

The Omega Male

Omega Male is commonly thought to be the polar opposite of Alpha Male, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have some positive characteristics. Omega Male is fiercely independent. He doesn’t care about popularity contests or societal norms. He wants to go through life in his own way and doesn’t let himself be influenced by others.

Omega Male is driven and determined to achieve his goals. He has many diverse interests and likes to pursue hobbies that stimulate the mind.

What’s good about Omega Male is that he’s open-minded. They know it’s not their place to judge someone’s journey through life. Omega Male is always willing to help other people. He’s not competitive, so he’s not threatened by someone else’s success.

The Delta Male

Delta Male is the most average type of male. He is your average Joe or “normal guy.” In many ways, Delta Males are the backbone of today’s society. They show up, do their jobs, and lead ordinary lives. They get things done.

Delta Male is not interested in being a leader. He keeps to himself and dislikes being noticed. He is an introvert who prefers solitude to socializing. In some cases, the Delta Male can be perfectly content with his life. In others, he can struggle with loneliness, low self-esteem, and resentment.

The Delta Male can be self-sabotaging. He believes there is no solution to his problems and blames others for his failures. He might not think his ideas and dreams are worth anything due to past rejection or trauma.

The Sigma Male

The Internet might make you think that Alpha Males and Sigma Males are at war with each other. The truth is, the Sigma Male doesn’t have any interest in fighting the Alpha. He is a lone wolf who does what he wants. He’s confident, self-reliant, and doesn’t crave attention.

Sigma Male is not interested in belonging anywhere. He’s not a follower or a leader, and he prefers doing his own thing. Sigma Male forges his path without falling for the whims of other people.

Sigma Male attracts the attention of women without even trying. They like the mystery of his character and how self-sufficient he is. However, Sigma Male enjoys his freedom and is not ready to commit. He doesn’t want to settle for shallow relationships in particular.
