Isis’ usual portrayal was as a woman wearing a headdress in the form of cow horns and a solar disk, symbolizing her association with the sky and the sun. The concept of life and rebirth was associated with Isis, and she was frequently invoked in spells and rituals aimed at promoting fertility and healing. In Egyptian mythology, Isis was the one who resurrected her brother and husband Osiris. She was also the mother of Horus.

Horus was the god who ruled over the sky and was the protector of the pharaohs. He was also associated with Ra’s eye and was thought to have returned the sun to its proper position in the sky after it had been temporarily lost.

Seth was the god of chaos, disorder, and violence, commonly portrayed as a man with the head of a donkey or aardvark. Despite his negative attributes, Seth was also considered a god of strength and was often associated with the pharaohs. He was the killer of Osiris and the enemy of Horus.

Bastet was the goddess of cats, fertility, and childbirth, depicted usually as a cat. Bastet association was both gentleness and ferocity. Ancient Egyptians revered her as a protectress of women and children.

Thoth was a god of knowledge, writing, and magic. He was portrayed as a human with an ibis or baboon’s head. Thoth was considered the inventor of writing and was believed to have recorded the events of the world in a book called the Annals of Thoth. He was also revered as the patron of magicians.

Nephthys was the goddess of mourning and the afterlife. She was depicted as a woman with the wings of a bird and was considered the sister of Isis and Set. Nephthys was believed to have assisted Isis in the resurrection of Osiris and was also associated with the protection of the dead.
