For the bravest there are horror books. Some people believe that reading these books is even scarier than the horror movie experience, because we get even more into the characters’ situations, and our imagination can be more powerful.
Horror books can have a variety of themes, be more gore or just dark and gothic atmosphere. Among the favorites of this genre are such writers as Stephen King and Mary Shelley. This year has seen many new horror books worth reading, such as Ghost Eaters, Jackal or Just Like Home.
We also have fantasy books and fairy tales that tell stories not from this world. The Game of Thrones series had already gained great popularity before the series. Stories about castles, magic, kings and queens continue to delight only in a new guise. One such book is also Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, which has attracted a lot of readers.
