New England Patriots Super Bowl Victories

Massachusetts-based team, established in 1959 as the Boston Patriots, made its first Super Bowl appearance in 1989, standing against Chicago Bears. The Patriots started promising but ultimately succumbed to the bear attack, losing the game. (Fun fact: Chicago Bears won their first Super Bowl that day: 46 to 10).

The Patriots scored their first Super Bowl win in 2001. Their opponents, St. Louis Rams, were the favored team, but the Patriots came out on top in a true underdog style. The early 2000s were a success for the Patriots – they won in 2001, 2003, and 2004, defeating the Rams, the Carolina Panthers, and the Philadelphia Eagles, respectively.

The New England Patriots won six Super Bowls altogether, sharing the record with Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Super Bowl wins. After the 2004 hit, they did not win again until ten years later. The Patriots’ last Super Bowl triumph took place in 2019 when they faced the Rams – now known as Los Angeles Rams – yet again.

Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl – How Many Times Have They Won?

The oldest franchise in the American Football Association (and one of the oldest in the NFL) has played in eight Super Bowls, coming out victorious for the first time in 1974. The young and inexperienced Steelers held their own against the Minnesota Vikings and won 16 to 6.

The Rooneymen built their reputation as one of the strongest teams of the 1970s, establishing themselves as the first team in NFL history to win Super Bowl four times in six years and the first to win more than two times. All in all, the Pittsburgh Steelers have six Super Bowl wins behind their belts, with the last one being in 2008 against Arizona Cardinals (scoring 27 to 23).

49ers Super Bowl History

Named after those who came to California chasing gold in the 19th century, the San Francisco 49ers had their fair share of success. The team got off to a flying start in 1981 against the Cincinnati Bengals and continued to win all their Super Bowl matches in the 80s and the 90s.

The 49ers won the Super Bowl five times total, with the last successful game in 1994, where they scored 49 to 26 points, blowing the San Diego Chargers out of the water. For the last time so far, the San Francisco team appeared at the Super Bowl in 2019, unfortunately losing against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Championships

The Dallas Cowboys have the second-most Super Bowl wins (tying with the 49ers) in the history of the NFL. The 1971 season was America’s Team’s first Super Bowl victory, crushing their opponents, the Miami Dolphins, 24 to 3. Six years later, they won for the second time against the Denver Broncos, achieving a satisfying score yet again (27 to 10).

In conclusion, the Cowboys went to the Super Bowl eight times and won five games. Their last victory in 1995 during Super Bowl XXX was also their last Super Bowl appearance. At Arizona’s Sun Devil Stadium, they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 27 to 17.
