About Real Madrid

Real Madrid was founded in 1902 as a Spanish sports team. It has won 14 European Cups or Champions Leagues, as well as a number of other medals. It has won the Spanish title 35 times. The club rose to prominence in 2000, when FIFA named them the finest club of the 20th century. Since 1947, the team’s home games have been played in the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, which carries the name of the former leader who oversaw the club’s most championships.

The club made a significant contribution to the growth of both Spanish and international football, and its activists were instrumental in the establishment of the King’s Cup. The team further represented the Spanish Football Association, and in 1904, it joined the ranks of those who helped form FIFA. It was a member of the initial group of clubs that made up the Primera División in 1928, and it joined one of the groups that competed in the inaugural European Cup in 1955. By successfully retaining the trophy four times in a row, the team eventually won the contest. The UEFA Champions League was introduced in 1992, and since then, no one team in history has won the title three times in a row (2016, 2017, 2018).

Real Madrid Colors

Real Madrid debuted wearing white gear right away. At first, the player wore a white shirt with long sleeves and a collar that was buttoned, along with white shorts that had a horizontal belt in the colors of the Spanish flag and black socks that also had the belt.

In 1911, the stripes on gaiters and shorts were also eliminated. After a brief interruption in the 1920s, when the top portion of the costume wore beige for the only time in the club’s history, the gaiters were then replaced with navy blue. This arrangement lasted until 1955. (shorts and the gaiters, on the other hand, were black, today found in an alternative set). Except for this brief adjustment, there were only minor collar form changes made between 1911 and 1955; they were subsequently eliminated.

The socks’ color was changed to white in 1955, and this design persisted until 1980 when the sleeves were cut short and blue accents were added to the shirts and shorts. After two years, Zanussi made its first appearance as the sponsor; after three years, Parmalat took its position. Real Madrid was already using Hummel’s attire during this time.

The club and home appliance maker Teka began their nine-year partnership in 1992. Navy blue collars were first used in the same year, but when Kelme started producing costumes for Real Madrid in 1994, they changed to white. On the backs of the jerseys alongside the players’ numbers, a year later were their names. Every season after then, a new style of clothing is released. Since 1998, Adidas has been their manufacturer.

Due to the lack of a sponsor for the 2001–2002 campaign, the jerseys featured advertisements for Real Madrid, the club’s official website. Except for the manufacturer’s coat of arms and emblem and the three stripes for Champions League matches, Real Madrid played without a sponsor in 2002. This was done as a nod to the outfits from the club’s centennial celebrations in the 1950s when they achieved their greatest success.

From 2003 to 2013, Siemens Mobile, Siemens, BenQ Siemens, and bwin.com served as the sponsors of the t-shirts, and the t-shirts themselves received vivid design components in the form of bottom straps in the following colors: white, black, purple, and gray, gold, blue, or navy blue. In 2006, there was also a picture of the FIFA Best Club of the 20th Century Award trophy adjacent to the coat of arms.

To commemorate the club’s 110th anniversary for the 2009–2010 season, a unique emblem was added to the jersey. Emirates Airlines began sponsoring the “Royal” ones and the phrase “Fly Emirates” on the T-shirts for the 2013–2014 season. The shirt also featured the competition’s winning badge when the team won the 2014 World Club Championship.
