Who Is Ruby Rose?

Ruby Rose Langenheim is an Australian model, disc jockey, tv host, actress, and former MTV Australia VJ. She was born on 20 March 1986 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Her career was kickstarted after she landed the gig as a host of MTV Australia in 2007. It was later followed by various modeling jobs, especially Maybelline New York Australia which increased her recognizability even more.

Ruby also pursued a career as an actress. She was featured in many movies and tv series including Around the Block, 3rd season of Orange Is the New Black, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, and Batwoman.

Modeling And Fashion Career

In 2002, Ruby joined the Girlfriend model search where she managed to take second place, bested only by Catherine McNeil. Ten years later, she collaborated with Milk and Honey, an Australian fashion label to create a capsule fashion line.  Milk and Honey Designed by Ruby Rose, a collection she co-designed, included T-shirts, washed jeans, and leather jackets. It was available in selected sellers in Australia. What is more, Ruby released a collection which she created together with Gallaz, a street footwear brand.

In 2014, Ruby collaborated with Phoebe Dahl, a British American fashion designer. She was later featured in InStyle Magazine, Vogue Australia, Cleo, Marie Claire Magazine, Cosmopolitan, New York’s Inked Magazine, Nylon, and Maxim. Her recognizability and feats also allowed her to land  numerous gigs as an ambassador for various companies such as Danish label Georg Jensen, JVC, and Australian clothes company JAG. Rose is also the face of Maybelline New York in Australia,  Urban Decay Cosmetics since March 2016, and represented Swarovski ‘Urban Fantasy’ FW17 Collection launch in May 2017.
