Hello everyone, hope you’re doing well. Are you a Marvel fan? Do you like Marvel comics and movies? Do you like the Avengers? If the answer is yes, you’ve come to the right place. The quiz we have for you today will tell you which Avenger you are. If you don’t know much about these iconic heroes, let me tell you more about them.

The Avengers are a fictional team of superheroes and extraordinary individuals. In the Marvel comics, the group made its debut in 1963, in the comic book created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Nicknamed “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes”, the Avengers consisted of Iron Man, Ant-Man, Hulk, Thor, and the Wasp. The original Captain America was discovered trapped in ice in issue number 4 and joined the group after they revived him. Other notable members from the comics are Hawkeye, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Black Panther (the current leader of the Avengers), Captain Marvel, and Spider-Man. The superheroes in the Avengers group usually operate independently, but occasionally assemble as a team to fight an especially dangerous villain.

The Avengers appeared in some media outside of the comic books. Beginning in 2008, they were adapted in a series of movies from Marvel Studios known as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, concluding with The Avengers in 2012, with more appearances of the group in subsequent movies.

MCU Avengers were founded by the S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury, and depicted as operating in the state of New York. The purpose of the group was to protect the Earth from any threats – inner or outside. The Avengers were first assembled as a result of the Avengers Initiative when Loki invaded the Earth with his Chitauri army. The original team consisted of Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk, and Thor. They managed to defeat Loki and then went their separate ways for some time.

After Hydra infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D., the Avengers became an independent organization and they joined the fight against Hydra. After their victory, Tony Stark (Iron Man) built Ultron, hoping that the A.I. would be able to defend the world from any threats necessary in place of the Avengers. It did not work out, as Ultron started a war against humanity, forcing the team to fight him. When Ultron was defeated, Hulk, Hawkeye, Thor, and Stark left the team, so Scarlet Witch, Vision, War Machine, and Falcon were recruited.

Under Captain America’s leadership, the team completed several operations around the world with success. However, the amount of collateral damage during those operations caused the United Nations to pass the Sokovia Accords. It was a set of documents attempting to regulate the actions of supernatural and otherwise enhanced individuals, such as the Avengers. The members had differing opinions on the Accords, which caused the team to split. One fraction was led by Iron Man supporting the Accords, and the other by Captain America who was against them. After Captain America was able to stop Helmut Zemo, the instigator of their fight, the team was divided. Iron Man, Vision, and War Machine remained official members, while a small group consisting of Captain America, Black Widow, and Falcon continued to operate in the shadows. Iron Man tried to recruit Spider-Man into the Avengers, but the boy refused, as he wanted to stay closer to the people he promised to protect.

A few years later, the Avengers came into conflict with Thanos, who wanted to find the six Infinity Stones to erase half of the life in the universe. Iron Man and Spider-Man went to the planet Titan with Doctor Strange, where they teamed up against Thanos alongside Star-Lord, Nebula, Mantis, and Drax. At the same time, Captain America, Banner, Black Widow, War Machine, Falcon, Thor, Groot, Rocket Raccoon, and Scarlet Witch protected Vision from Thanos’ minions in Wakanda. The Wakanda team successfully killed off the minions, but the group on Titan failed. Thanos arrived and overpowered the heroes in Wakanda, before killing Vision and obtaining the Mind Stone. This led him to complete the Infinity Gauntlet and ultimately erase half of the population. The surviving members managed to kill Thanos, but they were not able to undo his deeds, as the Infinity Stones were destroyed.

Five years later Ant-Man escaped from the Quantum Realm and have the Avengers the chance to time travel. The team decided to travel to alternate timelines and collect the Infinity Stones. Returning to their timeline with the Stones, at the cost of Black Widow’s life, Bruce Banner put on the Nano Gauntlet and was able to resurrect those who died in the Snap. However, in an alternate timeline Thanos and his army had followed the heroes, sparking the Battle of Earth, where Iron Man gave his life to defeat Thanos. After winning the battle, the remaining Avengers went their separate ways and the team was disbanded.
