Which character from The Batman are you?
Batman/Bruce Wayne
You are a unique individual, misunderstood by many. At heart, you’re a good person and cannot stand any kind of injustice. You don’t fear many things in this world – you are brave almost to the point of recklessness. You’re an independent type, but you value your friends and their opinions.
Catwoman/Selina Kyle
You’re a habitual thrill-seeker who hates boredom and stagnation. You are charming and can easily talk people into what you want. To call you strong-willed would be an understatement – you have a fierce and unrestrained nature. Underneath all that, there is a kinder, empathetic soul.
The Riddler/Edward Nashton
You’re a naturally curious person. You like all kinds of dilemmas and conundrums, and constant exercise of your mind. You get deep into things when something interests you. You are confident in yourself and your skills. You are clever and have a sharp wit.
James Gordon
You have a strong moral code and believe there is an undisputed line between right and wrong. You are a loyal friend. You’re very level-head and don’t lose your cool under pressure. You’re a reserved type, not showing much emotion unless in the presence of someone you trust.

Hello gang, it’s time to send the Bat-Signal again. Yes, it’s exactly what you think – in today’s quiz you will find out which Batman character you are. Are you ready for a visit to Gotham City? Let’s go!
Of course, the character of Batman had many versions over the years. Right now I want to talk about the newest iteration, The Batman movie that just came out. The Batman was in development since 2013 when Ben Affleck was cast in the titular role. However, after some time, Affleck decided to drop out of the project due to several reasons. Matt Reeves took over and rewrote the movie, deciding on an approach from a different perspective. He wanted to focus on Batman earlier in his vigilante career and explore his detective side more.
In 2019 Robert Pattinson was cast as Batman. Pattinson’s Batman has been described as a broken, reclusive insomniac, who turns to vigilante justice to cope with traumas from the past. He is pretty young in the movie – around 30 years old – and not yet an experienced crime fighter. Batman, or Bruce Wayne, is in the process of fully figuring out his own identity. Robert Pattinson has been interested in the role for a while. As a long-time Batman fan, he had many ideas on which direction to go in this character’s portrayal. Robert considered Batman interesting because he does not have superpowers, contrary to many other superheroes. To prepare for the role, Pattinson studied Batman history by reading comics and trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Zoë Kravitz stars in The Batman as Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman – though she hasn’t named herself this moniker yet. Selina is a waitress and occasional drug dealer who meets Batman while searching for her missing roommate. Morally grey, she challenges Batman’s black-and-white view of the world. Just like him, she’s at the beginning of her journey and not fully formed yet, so to speak. According to Zoë Kravitz, Bruce and Selina feel drawn to each other through their mutual desire to protect vulnerable people. Kravitz was not initially interested in a superhero role but changed her mind since she was a fan of Catwoman and felt connected to her emotionally and aesthetically.
The main villain of The Batman is Edward Nashton, known as the Riddler, played by Paul Dano. He’s a mysterious serial killer who targets the elite of Gotham City and seeks to expose the dark truth about Gotham, taunting Batman and law enforcement with a series of enigmatic puzzles. The director, Matt Reeves, said that the Riddler was a terrorist-like figure and compared him to the infamous Zodiac Killer, who communicated with journalists through ciphers and riddles. To prepare for this role, Paul Dano researched various serial killers. Apparently, he had to do his readings in coffee shops because the material disturbed him so much.
Jeffrey Wright was cast as James Gordon, Lieutenant in the Gotham City Police Department and Batman’s ally. He is the first actor of color to be cast in that role. Gordon is the only Gotham police officer who Batman trusts and they work together to solve the Riddler mystery and take down the serial killer.
And finally, who could forget about Collin Farell as Oswald Cobblepot, who in this movie is not the big crime boss yet, and he dislikes the nickname of Penguin. He is, however, already hungry for power, greedy, and has no regard for human life. The Penguin might be on his way to becoming the legendary mobster villain; he has shown that underestimating him is a mistake. Colin Farell is virtually unrecognizable as Cobblepot; he gained weight and wore prosthetic make-up for this role. Other actors did not recognize him when they saw him on set. According to Farell, the Penguin was inspired by Fredo Corleone from The Godfather series.
Casting Robert Pattinson as Batman was a choice that has made some fans upset. They were arguing Pattinson, who gained worldwide recognition for his role as Edward in the Twilight series, would not be able to handle the challenge. However, judging from the critics’ favorable reviews so far, it seems like these fans were wrong. The Batman received praises for the performances, cinematography, visuals, and story. The movie is intended to be the beginning of a Batman shared universe – two sequels and two spin-off tv shows are currently in development.
The time is up! We have to find the answer to the question: what character from The Batman movie are you? Are you Bruce Wayne, Selina Kyle, James Gordon, or perhaps someone else? (The Joker is not really around in this one, so you can’t be him, I’m sorry). The clock is ticking, and The Riddler might be sneaking around the corner, so better get down to that riddle! Take the quiz and find out now.
