Which character from Bridgerton are you?
Daphne Bridgerton
You are sweet and nurturing, but anyone thinking you’re just some delicate creature would be mistaken. You’re stronger than it might seem and don’t appreciate people telling you what to do. You care about transparency and honesty. You are diplomatic and know what to say to get others on your side. You have an empathetic soul and will help those in need because it’s the right thing to do.
Simon Basset
You are a charming type who hides a sensitive heart under the veil of confidence. It might seem like you are unbothered by anything, but you care very deeply. You are reserved and prefer to guard your emotions because you’re afraid of getting hurt. You are a natural leader and a good, loyal friend to those who manage to get through your hard exterior.
Eloise Bridgerton
You are bright, opinionated, and strive to be independent at all times. You are not afraid to share what you think and do not care much about people’s opinions. Intellectual debates are your strong point. You appreciate freedom above all else and are afraid to be restricted. You are ambitious, open-minded, and crave bigger things in life.
Penelope Featherington
On the outside, you might come across as shy. In reality, you’re very sensitive, intelligent, and curious. You pay close attention to details and think outside the box. Surprisingly, you can be firm when it comes to the things you desire. That does not mean you are evil or mean – you have a kind heart and lots of love to give to the right person.
Marina Thompson
You are creative, clever, and a quick thinker. You’ve got a sharp wit and a sense of humor. You know what you want and will do what it takes to make it happen. You are a rational mind and keep both your feet firmly on the ground. However, you also have a softer, romantic side that yearns for a deeper connection with someone.
Anthony Bridgerton
You are an extrovert who knows how to appreciate the many pleasures of life. You are capable of being responsible when the situation calls for it. You are not afraid of making important decisions to protect your loved ones. Sometimes you can be judgemental, but it comes only from the place of honest concern. You want your family and friends to be able to depend on you.

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. If I sound a bit affected, it is because I want to fit the quiz theme: which Bridgerton character are you? Today you will learn, dear audience, which of the character from the period drama Bridgerton you are the most alike. Let us dive in! And remember, not all of us can be Daphne or Simon.
Bridgerton is an American period drama series streaming on Netflix. It was created by Chris von Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes, best known for creating or co-creating such popular shows as Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, or How to Get Away with Murder. Bridgerton was based on Julia Quinn’s historical romance novels, set in the Regency England period and following the lives of the Bridgerton family.
The difference between the books and the show is that the series presents an alternative version of history. The creators were inspired by theories about Queen Charlotte’s possible African American roots. In Bridgerton the show the Queen’s heritage is well-established, London is a racially integrated city, and people of color are members of Britain’s high society. This concept was met with skepticism from some critics, while others welcomed it as an innovative idea and a breath of fresh air in current media.
An interesting choice by the makers of Bridgerton was to put modern pop songs disguised as classical music in the soundtrack. For example, the string cover of Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next plays during the first episode of the season. In one of the later episodes, we can hear the cover of Bad Guy by Billie Eilish, this time performed by the Vitamin String Quartet. The decision to subtly sneak contemporary music into the period drama setting was intentional. It was supposed to mirror the show’s original take on history.
The first season of the show follows the story of Daphne, who is the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family and debutante in London’s social season. Daphne’s goal is to get married and become a good wife and mother. She is hoping that, just like her parents years ago, she will be able to find a true love match, not just someone to marry out of the sense of duty. Daphne’s brother Anthony, a deterrent to potential suitors, puts her happiness in jeopardy. The situation changes when she meets the handsome and rebellious Duke of Hastings, one of London’s most eligible bachelors who famously refuses to ever marry. Even though they claim to dislike each other at first, there is an undeniable attraction between the two.
The side plot follows Anthony, the oldest of Bridgerton siblings, struggling between his desires and his duty as the head of the family. Then there is Eloise, the second Bridgerton daughter, who feels dissatisfied with what is expected of her as a young maiden and wants more from life than just settling as a housewife. Other characters include Penelope Featherington, the youngest of the Featherington sisters, a shy but intelligent young lady born in a family that does not understand her.
Of course, perhaps the most compelling character in the first season is Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings. Orphaned by his mother at birth and rejected by his strict father, Simon has no intention of taking a wife or producing an heir. Charming, confident, and humorous on the outside, Simon keeps his true feelings close to his chest, perhaps subconsciously avoiding hurt. Something shifts in the Duke after meeting young and innocent Daphne Bridgerton. Though Simon initially refuses to admit any deeper feelings, it becomes apparent he became enamored with her. The young miss Bridgerton seems to have found the key to the heart of the elusive Duke.
The Bridgerton series first started streaming on Netflix in December 2020. Currently, we are awaiting the second season, which is supposed to come out in late March this year. Unfortunately, we will not be seeing Regé-Jean Page, who played Simon Basset, in it. This news enraged many fans of the handsome actor. There is not much to be done when the show follows an already established storyline. With new characters introduced and new intriguing plots, we are sure the second season will be a delight, even without the Duke’s captivating presence.
Bridgerton became the most-watched Netflix series at the time of its premiere. It proves the show’s popularity that we already have information about the renewal for the third and fourth seasons. Will you be tuning in to watch them? Because we will!
